Preparing for any emergency (whether it be "the big one" or a medical emergency) is essential.

Being prepared for emergencies not only makes good sense but it is one of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work 2015 Act.

We can assist you with any of these essentials.

We can create (or review and update) your emergency policies, procedures and plans.

Dave also can deliver Emergency Preparedness or Floor Warden training customised to your workplace.

When putting together emergency supplies, whether it be for the office, the car or at home, there are eight categories of things you should consider putting together:

  • Communication
  • First-aid and personal medication
  • Food
  • Hygiene
  • Lighting
  • Safety Gear
  • Warmth and Shelter
  • Water

We all get to choose what we have available in an emergency, and our needs are all different, so it is hard to put these in priority order.  However, if I could only choose one category, it would be Warmth and Shelter - hypothermia will kill you long before dehydration or starvation does.
